Jim Grobe to Arkansas

EDIT: It now seems that Jim Grobe will be staying at Wake Forest. Grobe seemed a bit out of the norm for Arkansas to hire. A source close to the situation has informed me that Arkansas and Terry Bowden have worked out a 4 year $2.4 million dollar deal with a $1 million buyout clause. It should be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned to see if this bombshell actually happens.

The Arkansas News Bureau is reporting that Jim Grobe will be announced as the next head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks as soon as tomorrow. The move comes somewhat out of left field as it was still heavily believed Arkansas had a legitimate shot at Tommy Tubberville and Butch Davis. Grobe wasn't their top choice obviously, however his results as Wake Forest's head coach can't be overlooked. One must wonder how Grobe will adjust from the cozy life of being the Wake's head coach to the rabid fanbase of Arkansas. How short will their fanbase's leash be with Grobe as opposed to Houston Nutt?
