Ferentz to Michigan?

The buzz on the message boards this morning is that Dan Patrick has reported that Kirk Ferentz will be visiting the University of Michigan, presumably to interview for the head coaching position. As of right now, the conventional wisdom is that if Ferentz is offered the job he will accept it. However, this particular coaching search has taken enough twists and turns that it will not truly be over until the ink is dry on the new coach's contract.

Mary Sue Coleman, the president at Michigan, was the president at Iowa when Ferentz was hired. You can assume that neither side will want to make the other look bad given their personal history with one another.
