Notre Dame Returns 400 Tickets to Purdue

As what may be one of the most significant signs of the troubled times, Notre Dame has returned 400 tickets that were allotted to them by Purdue University for this weekend's showdown in West Lafayette, IN. Notre Dame was given 5,000 tickets to disperse amongst students, alumni, and fans. This absolutely never happens for this in state rivalry game especially due to the distance of the two schools. West Lafayette is the closest opponent for Notre Dame as it is only 107 miles away from South Bend . Notre Dame fans typically fight for these tickets, but presumably due to their record they have chosen to stay as far away from the 22 point favorite Boilermakers as possible. To me this signals a sign of defeat amongst the Notre Dame faithful, and a lack of interest in the program. If there's any away game you'd think Irish fans would attend, it would be Purdue. Perhaps there's more passion for their team bestowed in their neighbors to the south.

AWESOME maybe Notre Dame will go 0-12. But somehow they will get invited to a BCS Bowl
