The University of Illinois is retiring the 81 year old Chief Illiniwek from all athletic events following Wednesday's final home men's basketball game. Chief was one of the better traditions going in college athletics, but due to criticism from various American Indian groups he is gone. He will be missed.Friday, February 16, 2007
