Oregon Hires New O-Coordinator

Oregon has hired Chip Kelly, former offensive coordinator from New Hampshire, as the Ducks new o-coordinator. When a D 1-AA coach is brought into coach a D 1-A program there is a high level of risk/reward involved. Obviously the competition level is not nearly as high at the lower levels than in a BCS conference. That being said this guy may be a diamond in the rough. Last year for the Wildcats, Kelly orchestrated an offense that finished #2 in Div 1 AA in TD's and yards per game, and #3 in points per game. On top of all this he was voted College Assistant coach of the year. The team's crowning moment last year was coming into Evanston, IL and knocking off the Northwestern Wildcats. New Hampshire was a second round exit in the D 1 AA tourny last season. Seems like Bellotti has found himself another good offensive coordinator.
